• Community Restoration, One Life at a Time

H.I.S. BridgeBuilders exists to reconcile lost souls to Jesus Christ. To accomplish our purpose, we unite Christians across cities to restore urban communities through education, health, economic and spiritual development.

This video explains how we combine education and economic development, in strategic partnerships with businesses, to help restore the lives of individuals, their families, and their communities.

  • Why We Exist

H.I.S. BridgeBuilders exists to reconcile souls to Jesus Christ by bringing tangible expression of the gospel to urban communities.

As our brothers and sisters become spiritually mature, economically self-sufficient, and relationally functional, they restore their own communities and God is glorified.

  • How We Serve

H.I.S. BridgeBuilders applies a comprehensive approach. We equip individuals for the workplace and help them find jobs. We find the gaps in health needs and fill them. We seek ways to stimulate the economy in impoverished neighborhoods. And we encourage spiritual growth through Bible studies, mentoring, church planting, and evangelism.

  • What We Do

H.I.S. BridgeBuilders unites Christians across cities to restore urban communities through education, health, economic development, and spiritual development.

HEALTH

H.I.S. BridgeBuilders assesses the state of wellness in the community and then seeks to meet existing needs with programs and services. The Eye Clinic helps more than 7,000 patients annually, and our counseling center helps men and women overcome emotional difficulties. We plan to open a dental clinic in 2013.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

H.I.S. BridgeBuilders stimulates the economy in depressed communities by establishing or encouraging businesses that create on-the-job training, provide ongoing employment, and bring valuable goods and services to local residents. We also connect individuals with employers through job placement services.

SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT

H.I.S. BridgeBuilders works to unite communities by engaging residents in Bible study, worship, fellowship, and service. Children and families find many helpful resources at our community centers, and our new church plants will help to unite neighborhoods across America in service to God.

Multiply the Harvest (A Message from Our President, Mike Fechner)

He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. (2 Cor. 9:10–11)

So often when we think of multiplying a harvest, we focus on the joy of reaping rewards and not the labor of planting and cultivating. We focus on the produce and not the seed. But as every farmer knows, you can’t have a harvest without seed.

H.I.S. BridgeBuilders Welcomes New Neighbors to Bonton

On Saturday, May 11, 2013, Habitat for Humanity held a record-setting home dedication ceremony at the park in Bonton. H.I.S. BridgeBuilders was on hand to help welcome many new neighbors to the community.

Daron Babcock, Director of Community Development, gave the invocation and Velma Mitchell, Co-Founder, sang "The Solid Rock" to remind all of us that a strong house must have Jesus Christ as its foundation.
