Turkey Give-Away Saturday, November 17, fifty turkeys were given to residents of BonTon. The turkeys, ranging in size from a personal two pound breast to twenty-three pounds, were generously donated by the Young Married classes and Young Singles classes at Prestonwood in Plano. BridgeBuilders' staff pre-registered fifty families that are heavily involved in the ministry, whether in GED, Men's Basketball, Women's Bible Study, ESL class, ect. Many volunteers from the donating class came Saturday to distribute the turkeys and meet these families. Along with the turkey distribution, four pre-lit artificial Christmas trees were donated and assembled and decorated in Habitat homes and the Turner Court Rec Center. It was a perfect beginning to the holiday season. Volunteers are giving Dana, a Turner Court resident, our biggest turkey weighing in at 23 pounds!
