| Saturday, July 9th BridgeBuilders proudly opened the doors of a new dental clinic located at Rhoads Terrace Housing Development, 5747 Pilgrim Dr. Many volunteers gave their time and energy during the Global Day of Prayer’s 90 Days of Blessing to brightly paint all the walls of the clinic. What was once a white-walled apartment is now an inviting dental office. Many hours of volunteer work were also donated to make this apartment into a fully functioning dental office with all the plumbing requirements. BridgeBuilders is also grateful for the equipment and furnishings. The clinic offers two exam rooms and one laboratory room.
Led by Dr. Kevin Seidler from ServingHIM Ministries, a group of dentists are volunteering their time to treat children ages 3-16 each Saturday, 8am to 12pm. Appointments are necessary and may be made by calling 214-421-2967 Friday afternoons and during work hours Saturday. The clinic is excited to expand its hours as soon as additional dentists are added.
BridgeBuilders is in the process of organizing a dental laboratory training class similar to the lens training program. The classes are scheduled to begin in Fall 2006. BridgeBuilders expects the arrival of this training program to be in high demand once it is operational. |
