BridgeBuilders partnered with Hope Fellowship Church in the fall of 2004 to expand upon the Kingdom building outreach offered to the resident of Boston, Cambridge and Somerville, Massachusetts.
Located centrally near the campuses of Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), BridgeBuilders Boston draws upon the talents and skills of the academic world to serve those in need and the burgeoning international population of the city.
SERVICES OFFERED:
Conversational English Classes
One in four of Boston residents are foreign born men and women. A third of these individuals either lack a high school education or the basic English skills necessary to compete in our city's complex job market. BridgeBuilders Boston offers two comprehensive Conversational English Classes and bible studies for international residents who are interested in improving their English comprehension, pronunciation and vocabulary.
The “Good News Bible Club”
BridgeBuilders Boston has partnered with Child Evangelism Fellowship of New England to offer a weekly “Good News Bible Club” to Boston area at-risk youth. The club offers intensive bible study and fellowship for young men interested in being disciples of Jesus Christ and serving their community.
The “Back 2 School” Festival
September 2004, BridgeBuilders co-hosted its first annual “Back 2 School” Festival—a neighborhood block party offering a variety of carnival games and activities. Each year, we are focusing our attention on single parent and low-income families. BridgeBuilders gives away free backpacks filled with clothing and school supplies for children returning to the classroom. Click here to read about the 2006 Back 2 School Festival.
