On Saturday, May 31st a group of 20 friends, staff and board members of H.I.S. BridgeBuilders departed D/FW Airport for Bucharest, Romania. The purpose of our trip was toset the foundation of BridgeBuilders's work in Romania for years to come. The Lord blessed our trip greatly asHe allowed us to meet with many leaderswithin the Romanianchurch, as well as corporate and governmental leaders. We also had the privilege of ministering alongsideour beautiful Romanian brothers and sisters as we shared the Good News of Jesus Christ in some of the poorest communities. Many came to faith during these outreaches. In addition to our evangelistic outreaches, we had the privilege of leading a pastor's conference withPrestonwood Baptist Church andE3 Ministriesand serving in a medicalfair with ServingHIM Ministries.
Christ has led our ministry to focus ontransforming one particular Roma (Gypsy) community inBraila (a city in the southeast of Romania) called The Valley.Bogdon, a young man from Braila, willserve asBridgeBuilders's Community Liaison in his city.Bogdon has an amazing testimony and has been discipled by Troy Geddes, anInternational Mission Board Missionary, for over a year. Bogdon's main responsibility will betohelp Troy disciple men inThe Valley and connect them to BridgeBuilders's job training opportunities once they com on line. Rodrick Yarbrough, BridgeBuilders's Community Liaison in Dallas, came on trip with his wife Lisa and had the opportunity to encourage Bogdon in his role.
We praise God for these opportunities to serve Him in Romania! |
