For just one evening, Turner Courts Gym was beautifully transformed into V’s Café, as we all celebrated God’s faithfulness to the ministry, ate some of Velma’s great cooking, and shed many tears of joy. This evening was also a celebration of the recipients of this year’s BridgeBuilder of the Year awarded to Ron and Cheryl Murff.
The Murff’s have invested in the lives of one young couple, Rodrick and Lisa Yarbrough, through what Mike Fechner likes to call ‘kingdom relationships.’ Ron and Cheryl have discipled the Yarbrough’s in both the spiritual and practical matters of life. Whether it’s celebrating Thanksgiving in the Murff’s home, or Cheryl helping Lisa in her home and with her children, the Murff’s and the Yarbrough’s have truly become a family. In fact, Cheryl insists Rodrick calls her ‘mom.’
Lives in the Bonton community and in ministry as a whole are being changed one kingdom relationship at a time. That’s all it takes! Prayerfully consider joining us as we continue to build bridges of God’s love, as Ron and Cheryl Murff have so graciously demonstrated to all of us. |
