Harvest Fest 2007

We saw God move mightily at Laurel Lanes Thursday, November 15th at the Harvest Fest Community Event in Clarksburg. We expected to feed 150 people and God sent us 180 people and He multiplied the loaves and the fishes! People were lined up outside the Community Center early. We even ran out of chairs.
The residents of Laurel Lanes are excited about these community events and now want to be a part of them! Many of the residents even chipped in and helped with the event! One resident felt moved to suggest that a Community Newsletter be started and wants to be involved in setting it up. God is starting to unite this community for His glory!
The praise band got the children involved in the singing. The children also made Thank You cards and decorated gourds in the craft room. Because of the generous gifts of God's people, we were able to purchase a turkey to give to each family. That's 100 turkeys! Every familywill have a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner this year. Many smiles and hugs were exchanged and God's name was lifted on high.
We want to thank EVERYONE that was moved by God to give of his or her time, talent and/or finances to make this event possible. God once again showed us that He is our Provider. We saw Him move not only in the hearts of the residents, but in the hearts of all the volunteers, including ourselves. It is truly a blessing to be a part of this ministry project.
