Parenting Seminar

The Diakonos young married class of Prestonwood Baptist Church organized and presented a Parenting Seminar on September 17 for residents of the Turner Court Housing Development. Representatives of the class welcomed more than 35 men and women to an exciting and informative morning. All participants received books to assist them in relationships with their spouses and children. Break out sessions were held to discuss the following:

• Teaching your children about sexual integrity
• How to teach your children to have self respect
• Creating trusting relationships with your children
• Setting goals, why should we think about the future?
• “I am a teen parent, now what do I do?”

Those attending were served a delicious free brunch and awarded wonderful door prizes. The day was a huge success and greatly appreciated by everyone who attended.
