H.S. Thompson and BridgeBuilders Team Up to Help Children

It is no secret our ministry loves the precious children in Bonton! We understand the wisdom and benefit of investing in the lives of the next generation. We are excited God has built a new bridge for ministry in the community through H.S. Thompson, the local elementary school most of the children attend.

BridgeBuilders has been given an amazing opportunity and access to serve in the name of Jesus Christ in this public school. Ministry associates through this partnership will build relationships with troubled or at-risk children by becoming “BridgeBuilder Buddies,” provide academic assistance through tutoring and the “Reading Rocks!” program, and also strive to build respectable students through the “Character Counts” program.

In October, BridgeBuilders hosted a Fall Festival for the students and families in Bonton at the school. Children enjoyed games, crafts, bounce houses, and food! It was a delight to serve the community and provide a fun-filled event for the whole family! We hope to host more events like these in the future.

Most importantly, the goal of this new partnership is to model the love of Christ to the children and staff of H.S. Thompson by building bridges of God’s love. We will accomplish this mission by serving in whatever capacity God calls us to. Consider how you too might serve the Lord in ministry to children in H.S. Thompson.
