Volunteer Mentors Make Disciples

Jesus said, “Go into the world and make disciples.” At H.I.S. BridgeBuilders we believe that God does not merely want conversions but whole hearted followers. For this reason we have launched our Mentoring Program to walk with the students and trainees in our ministry.

With each GED or employment training class (machinist, dentistry, lens lab) we are partnering the students with mentors from local churches who are committing to walk with them and encourage them during their time of transition.

For many of the trainees and students the decision to go back to school or get trained in a trade comes with many sacrifices and hardships. It can seem like the payoff will never come. But as we all know, if someone will walk with us and keep us focused on our goals it is much harder to fall off track.

The great part of the Mentoring Program is that while our Partners are encouraging them educationally and occupationally, they also have a great opportunity to pour into the students spiritually. They attend weekly bible studies together and are given specific times to discuss the Word of God and His plan for their life.

We are grateful for the Partners that have already walked with a student or trainee and seen them graduate! Knowing that someone believes in you and that there is a God that loves you makes all the difference in the world. Please continue praying for these students and trainees and that God will continue raising up Partners to walk with them.
