Spiritual Development
One of the most exciting areas of growth within BridgeBuilders is in the area of Bible study. Daily, a diversified team of Ministry Associates walks through the Dallas housing developments sharing smiles, encouraging words, prayer and the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Community Fellowships
Turner Courts Gym (6508 Canaan St. Dallas, TX 75215) hosts this worship gathering the 2nd Saturday of each month. Hundreds of believers from both North and South Dallas come together to be blessed and to be a blessing. The service starts with prayer & praise and then breaks into adult, youth and children Bible studies. Afterwards we gather again for a “family” meal. Come join us at 11:00am on January 10th for our next Community Fellowship!
Mentoring Program
As H.I.S. BridgeBuilders continues to have more and more people come through the education and training classes we have answered the call for more personalized attention. For every class, education and employment training, that takes place we are partnering the students with volunteer life mentors. These mentors spend a couple hours a week walking through a Bible study curriculum and helping the students with other life skills. It is H.I.S. BridgeBuilders desire that the lives of both the mentor and mentored be touched forever by the bond they form together through Jesus Christ.
Bible Studies
Bible studies are held throughout the week & month with groups focusing upon children, youth, women and men.
Children’s Ministry
The children's ministry seeks to serve children through education and Bible study. Children are assisted daily with their homework and challeged with additional enrichment activities. The children's Bible study, Kid's Alive, meets three times a week, once with 4th - 6th grade boys, once with 4th - 6th grade girls and once with 1st - 3rd grade boys and girls.
Adopt-a-Block
This Saturday morning initiative involves small groups from churches committing to the spiritual and physical transformation of streets in the Bonton Community of South Dallas. The adoption begins by groups building relationships on the street as they prayer walk and serve their street through cookouts, yard work, home repairs, etc. The goal is to see every home become a beacon of Christ’s love.
Basketball and the Word
Every Monday night at 7:30pm at the Turner Courts Gym (6508 Canaan St. Dallas, TX 75215) over 40 men gather for basketball, fellowship and teaching from God’s Word.
Special Events
Throughout the year H.I.S. BridgeBuilders hosts events for the community. These include Vacation Bible School, Block Parties, Retreats, College Tours, Service Projects, etc. The BridgeBuilders staff also involves the community in activities outside of South Dallas; these include Dallas Christmas Festival, Adolphus Christmas Parade, Prestonwood Baptist Church’s Fall Festival and more.
Spiritual Development Partners
BridgeBuilders is blessed to have volunteers from Prestonwood Baptist Church and Concord Misonary Baptist Church share their time and resources to the endeavors in South Dallas. In addition, Pastor Anthony of Victory Home, a drug rehabilitation ministry, and his men have been such a blessing to our community fellowship worship.
